Next week the Labour Party has their conference and there should be only one goal: get rid of Brown.
Anyone in Labour who believes they can win an election with the most hated man in British politics at the helm is living in cloud cuckoo land. Face facts: he has no mandate to run the country and no mandate to lead the party having never won an election to lead either. But then he has absolutely no leadership qualities anyway so why would he ever want to put himself to the vote? He never listens, has no vision and has no charisma. Brown is bad for Labour and more to the point bad for Britain.
Brown’s troubles are not just due to a downturn in the world economy, it’s down to a bad decision after bad decision; tax increase after tax increase.
The Conservatives have nothing to fear from a new Labour leader – it will cause them to work harder on their vision for Britain and improve their policies rather than resting on laurels and expecting to get elected just because they’re not Labour.
The Lib Dems, unfettered by the prospect of ever coming to power, have volunteered the idea that we might actually reduce Government and give the tax savings back to those who would benefit from it the most. Here’s a policy idea that Brown could implement just as quickly as he destroyed thousands of new jobs by cancelling the super casinos project. The trouble is, for a one-trick Prime Minister who thought he could buy votes with his spend, spend, spend mantra, cutting costs at home is unthinkable. Reduce Government? Sack all those unelected, unaccountable Quango leeches feasting on the blood of taxpayers?
It’s time that Brown’s barmy army raised the white flag. He’s a loser and you know it. You’ve known it all along: Britain deserves better.
